Ngatoa victorious at Hampton Downs

Kaleb Ngatoa has taken the first race at Hampton Downs, narrowing the championship fight to just one point between him and series leader Callum Crawley.

Pole sitting Taylor Hurst was beaten off the line by Ngatoa, seeing the later move into the lead and Reece Hendl-Cox quickly catch the front two to create a dynamic battle for first. Hurst eventually fell back and left Hendl-Cox and Ngatoa to battle it out.

The battle for third saw Crawley, Hurst and Liam Foster duke it out until Hendl-Cox unfortunately, found himself wide at turn four and falling back into the battle for third which became second.

Crawley eventually clawed back a second place finish after starting down the order while Hurst recorded his first podium off the back of his first pole position. Foster took fourth place ahead of Hendl-Cox, Amy Smith, Billy Frazer, Brody McConkey, Alex Hawley and Nathan Sudiono.

Shaun Logan and Blake Evans rounded out the field while SpeedSport Scholarship driver Conrad Clark ran into mechanical dramas which saw him finish a lap down in 13th.
