Chris Symon has taken out his 5th consecutive Hi-Q

Chris Symon has taken out his 5th consecutive Hi-Q Components NZ Formula First Championship picking up the win in race 23 of the season to create an insurmountable lead after an unfortunate DNF for title contender Liam Foster.

Harry Scott and Liam Nicholson crossed the line P2&3 and now head into the final two races separated by just 4 points in the battle for 3rd in the championship.

Top Rookie goes to Ben Williams who continues his run of consistency for the round in 7th, ahead of fellow rookies Yoshi Comeskey, and Toby Elmiger in 8th and 9th.

Three to go in the 2024-25 Hi-Q Components NZ Form

Three to go in the 2024-25 Hi-Q Components NZ Formula First Championship with Chris Symon picking up a dominant win in race 22 of the season here at Taupo Motorsport Park, ahead of Liam Nicholson and Harry Scott who were engaged in an intense battle for 2nd and 3rd.

Lots of battles across the grid to keep racing interesting and our drivers on their toes, with Ben Williams collecting the Top Rookie honour for the race in 7th.

Early start for us in the morning with race 2 of the weekend set to go green around 8:30am, set those alarm clocks.

Race 2 of Round 6 of the 2024-25 Hi-Q Components NZ Formula First Championship here at Manfeild has gone the way of Chris Symon, just 0.219s over Liam Nicholson in a drag race from the final corner to the line.

After an unfortunate previous round, rookie Ben Williams has clinched the Top Rookie of the race honours, eyes firmly set on reclaiming the Top Rookie of the season lead.

One more race awaits us all before its eyes onto Taupo in a couple weeks time.

A dry, to really wet to damp and greasy race to end day 1 of Round 6 of the 2024-25 Hi-Q Components NZ Formula First Championship has been taken out by series leader Chris Symon after starting 3rd.

One (one might be generous) lap of dry running was quickly halted by a quick downpour of rain forcing some tenacious driving from our drivers.

Liam Nicholson secured P2 after Keiano Weir took a last lap tour through the gravel at turn 7, forcing him to settle for the final podium position.

Top Rookie swings the way of Cooper Prout in P6, continuing his impressive increasing form.

Two more races tomorrow before it’s all eyes on our final round.
