Foster goes back to back

Liam Foster has taken back to back wins at Bruce McLaren Motorsport Park after claiming race 11 of the Hi-Q Components NZ Formula First Championship. It was another dominant performance for Foster, stretching out a 1.7-second gap to second-placed Kaleb Ngatoa. The win and a disappointing result for Callum Crawley put Foster into second in the championship now.

The final spot on the podium was more closely contested with Conrad Clark, Chris Symon and Reece Hendl-Cox all duking it out over the second half of the race. Scoring the position was crucial for Hendl-Cox and Clark who both suffered DNF’s in yesterdays race. In the end, it would be Symon who took third over Clark and Hendl-Cox respectively.

After running as high as fifth, Billy Frazer had a huge front lock up and ran himself off the track and dropped into the battle for sixth between Callum Crawley and Amy Smith. Frazer’s new found pace wasn’t enough for Crawley who secured sixth ahead of Frazer and Smith in eighth.

NZ’s youngest circuit racer Blake Evans was unable to find extra positions after a big tune overnight, still fighting for tenth with Bob Dillow and David Scammell. Dillow again bet the rookie to ninth after a side by side three-car battle.

Taylor Hurst came home in 12th ahead of Alex Hawley, Shaun Logan, Louis Redshaw and Andrew Tierney. Brody McConkey and Craig Greenwood both had mechanical dramas that ruled them out of the race.
