Hendl-Cox wins again and extends points lead

Reece Hendl-Cox has taken another race win in the 2018/19 Hi-Q Components NZ Formula First Championship, extending his newly found points lead over Chris Symon who finished second.

While the front two battled hard, the fight for the podium was fierce in the first half of the race. Thomas Boniface, Liam Foster, Amy Smith and Billy Frazer fought hammer and tong to decide the final podium place. As the chequered flag fell, they crossed the line four-abreast with Frazer edging out Boniface followed by Foster and Smith.

SpeedSport Scholarship driver Ronan Murphy delivered a late race charge to move from outside the top ten to finish seventh in a dead-heat with Taylor Hurst.

Bob Dillow came home ninth, leading fellow sunset driver Ron Carter who finished tenth. Flynn Mullany finished 11th with Nathan Sudiono 12th, Dave Scammell 13th, Kyan Davie 14th and Rob Baker 15th.
