Liam Foster storms to maiden win

Liam Foster has stormed to victory in race ten of the Hi-Q Components NZ Formula First Championship. Chris Symon was no match for the maiden race winner, finishing nearly one second behind him. Championship leader Kaleb Ngatoa recorded another podium finish in third. The race also saw two championship contenders retire from the race with mechanical dramas.

Pole sitter Brody McConkey would finish fourth ahead of Callum Crawley after the duo and Ngatoa all fought for the final podium position.

Just outside the top five Billy Frazer, Amy Smith and Taylor Hurst upheld an incredibly dynamic battle for sixth position. The trio traded positions for the majority of the race with Smith beating home Frazer and Hurst.

The final two top ten spots went to Blake Evans and Bob Dillow, respectively, in a true battle of young and experienced! Alex Hawley, Louis Redshaw, David Scammell, Shaun Logan and Andrew Tierney rounded out the top 15.

Two of the championship contenders, Reece Hendl-Cox and Conrad Clark both failed to finish. Hendl-Cox slowed on lap three while Clark starting smoking severely on halfway into the race, forcing him to retire the next lap.
