Reece Hendl-Cox has won another insanely close Hi-Q Components NZ Formula First race at Pukekohe Park. Hendl-Cox took the win by just 0.014s at the line over Liam Foster. Chris Symon finished in third.
The race was another classic Formula First affair with rookie Asten Addy stealing the show with his late braking manoeuvres into the complex which saw him take the lead of the race multiple times. A six-car cluster emerged out front with Hendl-Cox, L. Foster, Symon, Addy, Amy Smith and Ian Foster.
Smith finished in fourth while Addy was eventually outsmarted by the more experienced racers and finished fifth. Kyan Davie took sixth and set a new lap record. Ian Foster took seventh with Ron Carter eighth, Matthew McCutcheon ninth and Bree Morris tenth.
