Chris Symon has won race 15 of the 2021-22 Hi-Q Components NZ Formula First Championship at Manfeild Circuit Chris Amon.
Symon expertly set up his run to the chequered flag in what was an intense three-car fight for victory. At the line 0.156-seconds separated Symon from second-placed Grant who held off a charging Mason Potter. Potter, who set the fastest lap of the race, finished third just 0.044-seconds behind Grant.
In fourth place was Jensen Foster ahead of Mauro Iglesias in fifth. Blake Dowdall finished in sixth place with Jensen Bate seventh.
Hayden Lines took eighth place ahead of Darren Henderson in ninth with Jack Groenewald rounding out the top ten.
Zach Blincoe encountered issues with his car that slowed him down dramatically and meant he could only managed 11th place. Debutant Jacob Bellamy was the last of the running cars in 12th.
Cory Silk and Liam Nicholson did not finish the race.
